In 2019 Creative Generations—State Schools Onstage (CGEN) celebrated its 15 year anniversary!
Over 1,500 talented students came together from over 120 Queensland state schools with the support of teachers, parents, professional artists and production crew to produce 4 spectacular performances at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 July 2019.
The theme for the 15 year anniversary production was ‘Our time’, celebrating key milestones of humankind through music and dance. From famous works of art, inspirational speeches, technological breakthroughs such as the invention of radio, the telephone, moon landing and a range of other milestones that are all now celebrated legacies in world history. The show then encouraged today’s young people to create their own legacies that will be celebrated long into the future.
As part of the show week activities, students participated in the Queensland Government campaign #endcyberbullying, standing unified for powerful change through students supporting each other to stop cyberbullying in its tracks.
